Arsenal Transfer News: Barcelona Want £15 Million Rated Laurent Koscienly

laurent k According to the Daily Mirror, Arsenal defender Laurent Koscienly is attracting interest from La Liga champions Barcelona. The 27-year-old is valued at £15 million and could well be leaving the Emirates this summer if Barcelona make a substantial bid for his services. The Frenchman is reportedly unhappy at the lack of Arsenal's ambition in the transfer market and is willing to leave the club if things do not improve. Koscienly€™s agent, Stephane Courbois, has confirmed the interest from the Spanish champions as well as Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich:
"There is interest. I know that Laurent is part of a shortlist of three or four players for both clubs."
The defender still has four-years left on his current deal at Arsenal but would be willing to move if the club fail to invest in much needed players this summer. Former Arsenal striker Robin van Persie, who joined Manchester United last summer, also had a similar problem with the club€™s transfer policy and was very vocal before leaving for Old Trafford last summer. Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has been criticised for failing to replace the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Robin van Persie in previous transfer windows but with the London-based club linked with huge signings such as Wayne Rooney and Marouane Fellaini, Arsenal could convince Koscienly to snub Barcelona and stay at the club. The experienced defender played in 25 of Arsenal€™s Premier League games this season as well as five Champions League fixtures. Koscienly also has a strong impact on an international level having played in seven games for France last season. Big spenders Monaco as well as Paris Saint-Germain are also being linked with the right-back and a keen to bring the Frenchman back to his home country.
