Arsenal Transfer News: Gonzalo Higuain Could Snub Gunners And Stay At Real Madrid?

GonzaloHiguain Real Madrid sources claim that the future of striker Gonzalo Higuain is still unclear despite the player believing to be on the verge of joining Arsenal, according to a report in The Sun. Higuain has been linked with a £23 million move to London for several weeks now and with the paperwork reportedly close to being completed just a few days ago, Madrid sources are now suggesting that Higuain could snub Arsenal and stay at the Bernabeu. The Argentine international striker still has three-years-left to run on his current contract and newly appointed manager, Carlo Anelotti believes the player does still have a future at the club. The former Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain boss is set to sit down to work out the future of the 25-year-old who scored 16 La Liga goals in 28 appearances lasts season for Real Madrid. According to The Sun, last year's La Liga runners-up insist that they are not trying to force Higuain out of the Spanish giants and that he could have a big part to play next season as Ancelotti's Real Madrid attempt to regain the domestic title from Barcelona, and go further in the Champions League than they did under Mourinho.
