Arsenal Transfer News: Theo Walcott Finally Signs New Deal

according to the BBC. Arsenal are now paying the England forward £100,000 a week, making him one of the club's top earners alongside Andrei Arshavin and Lukas Podolski. Walcott also recieved a £3 million signing on bonus to sweeten the deal after months of stalled talks. Walcott had this to say:

"I have made it clear from the start that I wanted to stay at Arsenal so I am pleased we have agreed a deal that everyone is happy with. Thanks to everyone for their continued support, especially the manager, everyone at the club and most importantly the fans."
Arsenal fans will be delighted with this news after Walcott this season has finally become to realise his potential after being shifted to his favoured central striking role. Walcott is Arsenal's top goalscorer this season and chants of "sign him up" were often heard echoing around the Emirates. This is a blow for clubs like Liverpool, Manchester United and Juventus who had been linked to Walcott previously. Arsenal fans have grown frustrated as their top players have been allowed to wind down their contracts and leave but the club have recently tied down a core of British talent including Walcott, Jack Wilshere and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to long term deals.
