Arsenal Transfers: 5 Key Players Whose Contracts Are Ending Soon

5. Tomas Rosicky (2014)

The Czech Republic midfielder has been in dazzling form for the past few months, and the fact that he has managed to stay injury free has only helped in his progress. The result being that the 33-year-old is probably in the best form of his Arsenal career, and is finally fulfilling the potential that saw Wenger buy him back in 2006. There are even reports that if the former Borussia Dortmund player makes 25 or more appearances for the club, he will automatically get a one-year extension to his current deal. As the midfielder is over 30, Wenger's strategy is not to give players of this age any more than a one-year contract, and Rosicky looks as though he will get his extension after already playing 13 games for the Gunners this season. The 25 game marker is really for him to prove to the club that he can remain injury free, and hopefully he will be able to and prolong his career at the Emirates.
