North London's most successful club have endured a topsy-turvy campaign, which bares a lot of similarities to Robert Louis Stevenson's Jekyll and Hyde. After a superb start, Arsenal led the Premier League heading into the turn of the year but a few months down the line has changed the entire outlook- as they now sit outside the top four. It's a situation the Gunners have had to get used to over recent years, as they've constantly battled with rivals Tottenham Hotspur for Champions League football. Now though, it's the blue half of Merseyside causing Wenger's side problems and it's evident that however the season pans out, the Gunners are in need of real changes in the summer months. A lot of the discussions around Arsenal's transfer activity have been regarding inbound signings, where a goalkeeper and a star-striker are top of the list. However, these things alone won't solve Arsenal's problems as although last summer got rid of a lot of the 'deadwood' in the club, there are still players that need to go. By keeping these players on the books, the Gunners are wasting money and resources on players that will never pay their dues on the field of play. It's time for Arsenal to cut their losses and replace this selection of misfits, that should definitely be sold before the start of the new campaign in August.
