Arsenal Transfers: 8 Late Deadline Day Deals Arsene Wenger Could Do

Since when is anyone 99% sure of doing no business?!

Inevitably, the last day of the transfer window dawned as surely as it always does around the Emirates: as Jim White filled himself with sugar for his shouty evening slot on Sky Sports News, Arsene Wenger was already saying he was 99% sure he would be doing no business. Which is exactly what he says 99% of the time, whether he's intent on signing anyone or not. He doesn't seem keen on John Terry though. To be frank, Arsenal's squad needs more development: they haven't been in as strong a position to win the league for some time, and if they want to pip Leicester to the title, there is still work to be done. Particularly since Arsenal players seem to have a far higher probability of getting lengthy injuries than anyone else. It isn't all just about incoming transfers either: though they Gunners are badly in need of defensive reinforcements, they also have an embarrassment of riches when it comes to full-backs and they could probably do with culling the pack. So even if Wenger is tight-lipped on the prospect of incoming deals being completed, assurances of players heading out the door probably wouldn't be quite so firmly set. So what deals might Wenger cut on transfer deadline day before the window SLAMS shut, as Sky Sports are so keen to have it put?
