The attacking edge upfront has been missing since Van Persie moved to Manchester, and Kieran Gibbs€™ developing attacking abilities can only spell good news at the Emirates, and until Sagna is fully fit, and Arsenal show complete unity as a team, Gibbs contribution will more than likely be pivotal for the Gunners. Manchester United, Tottenham and Fulham have all been revamped in the attacking department, which will likely mean the Arsenal back-line is set for a testing time in the next five or so weeks. Hodgson and England should be thankful of Gibbs' emergence, considering the current problems with the first-choice left-back, and his call up is entirely justified, as his manager Arséne Wenger (source: Mirror) recently declared: €œI am pleased for Gibbs because it is a reward for the consistency of his performances since the start of the season. As well it is always good to know when you are a football player that you can represent your country and that the national coach rates you.€ Unfortunately for the player, and for England, the left-back was forced to pull out of the England squad - though his injury is not sid to be severe - but that should at least leave Arsène Wenger pleased, knowing that his full back will likely be fit, rested and ready for their away league game against Norwich.
