Aston Villa Interested in Tottenham's Jermaine Jenas?

Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish is now looking at Spurs midfielder and somewhat forgotten man Jermaine Jenas to help strengthen his midfield after missing out on Joe Cole.

Having missed out on the signing of Liverpool's Joe Cole who has just agreed a move to French club Lille, Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish is now looking at Spurs midfielder and somewhat forgotten man Jermaine Jenas to help strengthen his problem area. Sky Sports News have just broke the story of Villa's interest in the player, presumably at this stage for a loan deal. As Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp looks now to have secured the services of Scott Parker, Jenas' chances of getting into the first team at Tottenham this season looks increasingly unlikely. He played in 20 of the Spurs' 38 games last season but will be hoping to play week in and week out at Villa Park, if a deal can be agreed. I imagine he also hasn't given up on his chances of forcing his way into the England side for Euro 2012.
