Aston Villa Transfer News: £10 Million Bid For Hiroshi Kiyotake Rejected?

Express. Reports in Germany suggest the Midland's club are preparing the bid for the 23-year-old attacking midfielder having previously seen an £8.5 million offer rejected. However, according to Nurnberger Nachrichten, the Bundesliga club will continue to resist Villa's overtures and are set to reject the latest bid for the Japan international until after next summer's World Cup. The former Cerezo Osaka midfielder, who only signed for Nuremburg last year, is contracted to the Germans until June 2015 and his club are under no pressure to sell at this stage. Villa were reported to be prepared to sell up to seven players in order to raise funds for Kiyotake, who was a relative success during his debut season in the Bundesliga, scoring four times last season. But it now appears as though they will be unsuccessful with their pursuits. Things have gone quiet on the transfer front for Villa recently, with Christian Benteke's handing in of a transfer request, and then performing a dramatic U-Turn being the most notable event at Villa Park this summer. But the club are looking to strengthen having narrowly avoided relegation last season.
