Barcelona Eyeing Up Move For Sevilla Ace

Barcelona are readying a move for Sevilla's defensive midfield ace Vicente Iborra.

According to reports by Inside Spanish Football, Barcelona are ready to make a move for Sevilla's defensive midfield ace Vicente Iborra. Barcelona manager Luis Enrique is said to be keen on adding a towering presence to the heart of the Barcelona midfield ready for next season, and has picked out Iborra as the ideal candidate. The 27-year-old has had an excellent couple of years at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium - scoring 11 times in 55 La Liga games and becoming a priceless addition for Sevilla. Despite Barca's reported interest, Sevilla's sporting director Monchi has rubbished the reports. He said; €œNobody has spoken to Sevilla about Vicente Iborra. Barcelona? I€™m certain he hasn€™t signed with anyone.€ Monchi's comments have certainly raised doubts over a potential move. Barcelona boss Enrique will be looking to add to his already talented squad of superstars in the hope of retaining their La Liga title. Rivals Real Madrid are expected to spend big in the summer after failing to win the La Liga title for the last three seasons. Iborra is certainly a talented player, and it will very interesting to see if he does indeed push for a move away from Los Rojiblancos and end up at the Nou Camp in the summer.
