Barcelona Set To Sign Highly Rated Brazilian Who Dreams Of Playing At The Camp Nou

Brazilian starlet Gerson is set to sign for Barcelona for ‚3.6 million in January, according to ESPN. The father of the highly rated midfielder has confirmed that once Barca's transfer ban is over his son will sign for the Spanish giants who have sealed a first option deal on the 18-year-old. Marcao, Gerson€™s father, said: €œEuropean clubs should stop trying to sign Gerson, because his dream is to play for Barcelona, and the deal is done. We are grateful for the interest of other teams, it shows he is doing well.€ He said to Mundo Deportivo that Gerson will stay at Fluminense - who he signed a new 5-year-deal with last year - until January, when he will the join up with the Barcelona squad including their other signing this summer, Arda Turan. The Brazilian youth international has been linked with some of the top sides in Europe including Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Manchester City. The player is known for his intricate passing and raw midfield ability but will need time to adjust as he tries to establish himself in Spain. He earned a place in the Fluminense first team earlier this year and is widely thought of as one of the most promising young players in Brazil.
