Cardiff 2-2 Sunderland: Premier League Player Ratings

Cardiff

David Marshall: Did enough to deny Ki from deflected shot and parried two Borini efforts. Saved from Fletcher and Roberge late on, but to no avail. Scotland stopper cannot keep opposition teams at bay alone. 6/10

Kevin Theophile-Catherine: Not tight at all to Giaccherini for the Fletcher goal, but his only mistake on the night. 5.5/10.

Steven Caulker: Headed wide from a free kick early on, nodded another aerial effort at Mannone. Read danger in front of him in defence well too, but Fletcher got between him and Turner to score. Bright English prospect must concentrate right through to full time. 5.5/10.

Ben Turner: Headed over unmarked at the back post from a second half Whittingham corner. Kept Altidore very quiet, but Fletcher still popped up between him and partner Caulker to score late on. 5.5/10.

Declan John: Young left back deputized ably for Andrew Taylor, but no better than that. 5/10.

Gary Medel: An assured presence at the base of midfield returned from illness. Underrated in the holding role as Chilean allowed the forward players to do their thing for much of the match. If you were hyper-critical he could've tracked Ki better. 6.5/10.

Craig Noone: Put in decent deliveries from the right and always ran at Dossena. Tried his luck with a swerving, long-range effort that Mannone dealt with, but tired. Subbed. 6/10.
