Chelsea And Manchester City To Miss Out On Left Back Target

Reports from Italian media suggest the player is off to Rome...

Chelsea and Manchester City target Baba Rahman has turned down a move to the Premier League and agreed to move to Roma instead, according to Sky Sport Italia.

Bundesliga club Augsburg are holding out for a £18 million offer for the 21-year-old after rejecting £13 million last month.

The Ghanaian left back has been in talks with Roma for some time and their director of sport, Walter Sabatini has reportedly now reached an agreement with the player.

It is believed that Rahman who was also linked with Chelsea and Manchester City will receive a five-year contract worth ‚2.2m per season.

Roma still need to finalise the deal with his parent club Augsburg, as they are only prepared to reach ‚18 million including bonuses and the Bundesliga club are reported to be holding out for ‚25 million.

Rahman played 32 times last season scored two goals and grabbed four assists. He established himself as an extremely talented full back who specialised in tackling and moving forward with the ball.
