Chelsea Favourites To Sign Champions League Finalist

What a signing this could be...

Seemingly every European powerhouse has been connected with French international midfielder Paul Pogba, but now Squawka are reporting that talks have been initiated between English Champions Chelsea and the Juventus man's representatives, meaning The Blues are the first club to make meaningful strides towards securing his services for next season. When you've heard Pogba's name this season it has often been in the same sentence and words such as skill, flair and wonder goals. The youngster's obvious talent is there for the whole world to see after having an outstanding season both individually and as a member of his team and, as a result, he has been tipped to leave Juventus this summer. You might think that Juventus would be reluctant to let such an asset leave, especially having come so close to the perfect season having lost to Barcelona in the Champions League Final, but it would appear that the club are resigned to the fact that his departure from the Old Lady is just a matter of time. As yet, there has been no official price tag placed over his head but you can be sure that it will be one of the largest transfer fees of the summer, especially with the competition involved. The likes of Manchester City, Real Madrid and even a return to Old Trafford with Manchester United being mentioned along with Chelsea.
Since Pogba's apparently bitter exit from Manchester United in 2012, he has flourished into a potential world beater and at such a tender age his potential for improvement is even more enticing for any would-be employers. With a history of buying bright prospects and transforming them into brilliant players, who better to nurture his young talent than 'The Special One' Jose Mourinho? Most players his age might not be able to demand the wages that Pogba will be expecting to earn, which is believed to be in the region of £135,000 a week, however, this should be no problem for Chelsea owner Mr Abramovic and the rest of the chasing pack. He will be worth every penny of it.
