Chelsea have been given fresh hope in their bid to sign Paul Pogba.

/AP/Press Association Images/AP/Press Association ImagesChelsea have been given fresh hope in their pursuit of Paul Pogba, and have renewed their interest in the £60 million-rated Juventus midfielder, according to the London Evening Standard. Blues boss Jose Mourinho has already spent that amount on Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa this summer, but wants more bite in his midfield. Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, has consistently stressed that his client is staying put in Turin, but the Italian champions may yet be tempted to cash in on the French international in order to fund summer bids for their top targets. Juve are interested in Arsenal target Alexis Sanchez, along with Real Madrid's Angel di Maria and Colombia star Juan Cuadrado. And this has given Chelsea fresh impetus that they can get their man, if the price is right. Juventus will demand £60 million for Pogba, while the Blues face stiff competition from fellow moneybags Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain in the race for the former Manchester United ace. Pogba, who has two years left on his current deal at the San Siro, impressed during France's run to the quarter finals at this summer's World Cup, but could not stop his country from crashing out to Germany last week. Mourinho still has money to spend this summer, but may sell some of his fringe players to fund what would be a club-record buy for the Londoners, and is prepared to listen to offers for John Obi Mikel and Ramires.
