Chelsea Transfer News: Branislav Ivanovic Wanted By Paris Saint-Germain?

Mirror PSG manager Laurent Blanc is in the market for a new right-sided defender, with Gregory van der Wiel looking set for a switch to Inter Milan. The French champions are prepared to pay £8 million plus add-ons for the 29-year-old Serbian international, and are willing to offer Ivanovic a four-year-contract and a huge pay rise. Blanc is said to be impressed by the former Lokomotiv Moscow man's versatility - he can play both as a centre-back and as a right-back. Ivanovic has been a consistently-outstanding performer for Chelsea since his move to Stamford Bridge five years ago, but PSG's interest will serve as a gauge as to whether he factors into returning Blues manager Jose Mourinho's plans next season. The defender has made 141 appearances for Chelsea and last season won the Europa League with the club. He's also won the Champions League as well as three FA Cups, a Community Shield and one Premier League title. Meanwhile, Barcelona retain their interest in David Luiz, but it is unlikely that both he and Ivanovic will be allowed to leave the club this summer.
