Chelsea Transfer News: John Terry Linked With PSG

Mega-rich PSG are preparing to offer £10 million for Terry, who manager Carlo Ancelotti is desperate to reunite with across the French channel.

Chelsea captain and Euro 2012 star John Terry is wanted by Paris Saint-Germain, according to French media outlet Le Parisien. They say that mega-rich PSG are preparing to offer £10 million for Terry, who manager Carlo Ancelotti is desperate to reunite with across the French channel. 31-year-old Terry is of course the heart of Chelsea and despite the lure of working alongside Ancelotti, his former Chelsea team-mate Claude Makelele and defensive partner Alex and perhaps lengthening his England career by moving to a less frantic style of football, it is hard to imagine him leaving Stamford Bridge and playing for any other club at this stage. He has just won the Champions League at Chelsea and after two seasons without a Premier League trophy, he has unfinished business at the club, not to mention towards the end of last season he was extremely vocal at pitch side alongside manager Roberto Di Matteo, perhaps hinting at a future coaching career at the club. Leonardo, director of football at PSG, revealed to Le Parisien;
€œHe is very close to Ancelotti, but that is all.€
Thanks to their oil-rich owners, PSG are one of the wealthiest clubs in the world and have already spent large on the trio of Javier Pastore, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Maxwell but have recently failed to lure AC Milan into selling centre-half Thiago Silva. The club may see Terry as the next option but Chelsea may deem Terry to be priceless to the club and not for sale at any price. They certainly blocked Manchester City's attempts to sign him in 2009. Terry of course has a high-profile court case looming but even for more money and the chance of a fresh start, we couldn't seem him move to Paris next season.
