Chelsea Transfers: 5 Goal Scoring Options Rafa Must Consider

5. Radamel Falcao

Radaeml Falcao The man they call "El Tigre" is on fire this season, and Chelsea are well aware of Falcao's brilliance after he scored an exquisite hat trick against them in the European Super Cup Final. Falcao seems to have a knack of scoring in European finals, he netted twice against Bilbao in the Europa League Final of 2012 and also scored the match winner against Braga to win the trophy in 2011. Falcao's goals have propelled Atletico Madrid to second in La Liga, leading to questions as to whether the Barca-Real duopoly could be ended. Many now consider him to be the best striker in the business and naturally he has attracted interest from some of Europe's biggest clubs including Real Madrid, Manchester City and PSG. Falcao has a buyout clause of ‚60 million (£48 million) and would require about £200,000 a week in wages so might prove too costly for Chelsea with Financial Fair Play looming. They may however be able to lower his price by including Fernando Torres in a swap deal. Atletico would be keen for the return of their former captain and Torres may be able to recover some of his old spark in Madrid, meaning such a transfer would be beneficial to all parties.
