Chelsea Transfers: Pulisic Deal Close But Isco Mega-Deal Is OFF
Dortmund's wing Wonderkid incoming at Stamford Bridge?
It looks like it's all change at Chelsea. The Express are reporting that The Blues are "confident" of signing Borussia Dortmund's American wonderkid Christian Pulisic, who will arrive in the summer if the deal goes through.
The deal - which is quoted at £45m and apparently sees Chelsea beat "several" other Premier League clubs including Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United - was also apparently confirmed by Eddie Johnson. The US striker, who formerly played for Fulham and Cardiff posted a mocked-up image of Pulisic wearing a half-and-half Dortmund-Chelsea shirt with the message: "@cmpulisic so stoked for you lil bro great move can't wait to watch you alongside @hazardeden_10."
The post is now conspicuously deleted.
But it's not all good news for Chelsea, if The Sun are to be believed, because they claim that the £75m mega-bucks deal for Real Madrid's Isco is now off because the players wants more money. The report includes mention of a £250,000 a week contract, but now that PSG have expressed their own interest, the Spaniard has his eyes set on an even bigger deal in France.
Meanwhile, Sky Sports are reporting that Chelsea have rejected an offer of more than £20m from Bayern Munich for England youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi, who they value at closer to £40m. That report suggests Bayern - who have made him their top target this summer - initially bid £13.5m and have seen their second offer rebuffed. Time will tell if the German giants pursue their interest further.
And on top of that, according to Mailsport, Wolves lead the chase for striker Tammy Abraham who looks set to cut short his loan spell with Aston Villa.
