In a position that has been dominated by Petr Cech since 2004, there are many possible candidates for the position as so many have been understudies that have been kept out by the Czech's firm grasp on the number 1 jersey. Jurgen Macho never made an appearance for Chelsea after moving to
Chelsea on a free transfer after three seasons at Sunderland. He spent much of his season at Chelsea as fourth choice behind Carlo Cudicini, Neil Sullivan and Marco Ambrosio. Since his departure from Chelsea he has been at clubs in his native Austria, Greece and Germany. He is currently playing In the Austrian leagues with FC Admira Wacker Mödling.
