Crystal Palace Transfer News: Wayne Hennessey Is Pulis' First Signing

Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis has signed his first player since joining the Eagles in the shape of Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey. The Welsh international joins for an undisclosed fee and will provide competition for current keeper Julian Speroni. Hennessey played 166 times for Wolves, including three seasons in the Premier League, before picking up a serious injury months before their relegation. The 27 year old shot stopper joined Championship side Yeovil Town on loan earlier this season and Pulis obviously thinks he is still capable of playing at Premier League level. He gave CPFC.co.uk his thoughts on the move:
"I know Danny Gabbidon well and he's been telling me what the place is all about. He said it's a fantastic club and that I should get down here so I'm over the moon it's happened. "Going out to Yeovil was good for me as I managed to get match experience again but then that came to an end and I went back to Wolves and was sadly on the bench. Hopefully the tables will turn for me now."
Palace will be looking to add a couple of more faces to their squad to help them avoid the drop, most notably Blackpool's Tom Ince, who is said to be joining on loan before the 11pm deadline.
