Everton: 5 Reasons Moyes' Men Deserve Champions League Football

The race over 3rd and 4th place for the illusive Champions League spots is one of the few things left in this Premier League season that is still undecided. We know the team that will win the league and are pretty much assured of two sides they will face the drop down a level however working out which teams take the final two Champions League spots is much trickier to predict.

4 sides are still left in the running and the top 3 clubs from London have been deep in the mix all season. Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham have all had their swings back and forth yet all still fighting away hoping they will get a chance to play amongst Europe€™s elite. In 6th place, however, supposedly punching above their weight, is Everton who still with 4 games to go have an outside chance of sneaking into a European place.

The Toffees could even get into the Champions League still a feat they have not achieved since 2005. They are only 7 points off 3rd place so it wouldn€™t be impossible for them to slip under the radar and take a top 4 finish. They have fought hard all season and the team is so close to being rewarded for that hard effort after their blistering start to the campaign only losing 2 of their first 12 games.

It€™s highly unlikely that Everton can claim a European place with a fair bit of ground to make up with so few chances left but Everton have missed out on European competition for the last three years and so any small chance left they will want to take. Thankfully Everton fans are not as trophy or league placing obsessed as other fans seemingly happy just to see their team playing well and to be in the top half of the table

They can of course keep dreaming of top quality Champions League football even if it doesn€™t appear this season they can be very proud of what they have done this year. Of course I believe Everton do deserve a place in Europe next season at the expense of one of London€™s big three teams and coming up are some several reasons I think Everton should get into the Champions League.
