4. Experience
David Moyes is the third-longest serving manager in Premier League history, only bettered by Arsène Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson. Having started out managing Preston, Moyes entire Premier League experience has come from managing Everton: a well-run club and with a tight budget and stable ownership. He has never decided to move away from Goodison, despite regularly appearing on shortlists for vacant Premier League clubs and even an outside bet for some of the top jobs. Although perhaps keen for success with the Toffees, Moyes loyalty to Everton could be interpreted as a lack of ambition to further his managerial career. It may be that he has not been offered a job he feels can match his ambition, or he could be holding out for a job at the very top. But having only managed at one Premier League and won no silverware in that time Moyes may, rather incredibly, be deemed too inexperienced to manage at those very top jobs he may be holding out for.
