Everton Transfer News: Roberto Martinez Wants Birmingham's Nathan Redmond For £3 Million

the Sun, new Everton boss Roberto Martinez intends on making Birmingham youngster Nathan Redmond his first signing of the summer. It is believed that Swansea, Crystal Palace, Norwich and Fulham have all made bids of around £2 million for the player but Everton are ready to outbid their Premier League opposition and make a £3 million swoop for the winger. With Birmingham suffering from financial problems and with the allure of top flight football on offer to the player, the Championship side may might have no option but to agree the £3 million bid from the blue part of Merseyside. Martinez succeed long serving manager David Moyes at Goodison Park earlier this summer after the Scotsman left the Toffees o become the new manager at Old Trafford. Martinez, who signed a four-year deal at Goodison Park could be looking at bringing in younger players and watching them improve, continuing the long-term legacy that David Moyes had left behind. Whilst Martinez is looking to add players to his squad, the 39-year-old Spaniard may have to fight to hold on to left-back Leighton Baines and midfielder Marouane Fellaini. Both Everton players have been linked with a move away from the club this summer.
