Last Friday night news broke that Everton had accepted an offer from Hull City Tigers for striker Nikica Jelavic. If all goes to plan, the 28-year-old will be leaving Everton this week two years after signing from Rangers for £5.5 million. If, and when, he does leave, Everton will be left with Romelu Lukaku and Apostolos Vellios as their only fit first team strikers. So you would imagine Roberto Martinez will be on the lookout for a new striker to boost Evertons quest to finish in the Champions League places this season. Everton have never been known as big spenders and that is unlikely to change in this transfer window. But you would expect that Martinez will have all of the reported £7.5 million they receive for Jelavic to spend.
