The start of the Premier League season is just around the corner, and the red side of Manchester face a short trip down the M62 to face the blue side of Liverpool. An away trip to Everton is a far more difficult fixture than Sir Alex Ferguson would have wanted to welcome the new season in with.
With the summer additions of Robin Van Persie and Shinji Kagawa, Manchester United seem determined to take back the Premier League crown from their arch cross-city rivals, Manchester City.
Manchester United face an extremely difficult task at the hands of Everton – something which was confirmed last season when United threw away a 4-2 lead in the last 8 minutes to draw the game 4-4 and drop a valuable 2 points in the championship run in.
Everton have been busy in the transfer market over the summer. Steven Pienaar re-joined the Toffees from Tottenham for an undisclosed fee, and will be keen to show manager David Moyes he was right to bring the South-African back to Merseyside. Jack Rodwell went the other way out of the door, and joined Manchester City in a reported £12million deal. Another product of Everton’s youth academy, Rodwell joins Wayne Rooney in leaving Everton for one of the Manchester clubs.

Man united stil need d person dt can hold ball and distribute bal accurate.
I can’t say i agree with you there.
When you look at the midfield, Carrick and Scholes are two of the best central midfielders going and both have an amazing eye for a pass, and both hold and give the ball superbly.
We are still to see what Kagawa can do in the Premier League but he was very impressive with Dortmund and his distribution looks fantastic.
Good news R V P is now a good footballer an in a good team
It’s a fantastic signing for united, I’m sure they wont be losing the title on goal difference this season, that’s if they lose it at all.
