Exclusive Interview: UFC Hall Of Famer Urijah Faber On Working With Kinektic & His Prior Business Ventures

I believe your title with this company is Vice President of Business Development. Is that correct?

Urijah Faber: I believe so. I'm not sure exactly what they want me to call it…

Do you at least know what your job entails? For example, are you sitting in on meetings and conference calls all the time?

Urijah Faber: Keith and I are working hand-in-hand on this thing. He is an expert businessman. If you know that the backend of it, he hit the ground originally with the Home Shopping Network. He had done something with kids and then moved into his shops in Las Vegas and then his promotion with Roy Jones Jr., so I've known him and we’ve done business together throughout the years. He and I have communicated quite a bit...

As far as my contribution, that's being an expert in the grappling world. I've been doing a lot of grappling as of late… I have connections with businesses that have connections with fighters and competitors. I have insight into the business side of things. There's a lot that I can bring to the tabletop, of the PR stuff like this, the marketing and getting the word out there.
