Rejoice! The new Premier League season is almost upon us, and that means it's time to start doing your homework, flesh out a squad and prepare to get stuck right back in to Fantasy Football again.

Every wannabe manager who dreams of scooping the prize at the end of a long, hard campaign must be mindful not to spend that £100m kitty carelessly however. Sure, it'd be nice to have a forward line boasting Liverpool ace Mo Salah and Spurs hitman Harry Kane, but why splurge a combined £25.5m when there are bargains to be had on the cheap?

The juicy task is building a workable squad around that player, and that means having a solid backline, dependable goalie and a midfield engine that stays injury free, gets good assist numbers and can even chip in with a few goals too.

There's no need to focus on the top of the league either, not when there are so many hidden gems and exciting new players elsewhere in the Prem just begging for you to take a calculated risk. The rules are simple here: no players above £7m, an equal spread from back to front and value for money is king...
