Gunners Reject Determined To Stay At Arsenal

Will this German international be at The Emirates next season?

There has been recent speculation about Arsenal's German international forward Lukas Podolski's future. More specifically, it now seems that he would prefer to remain at Arsenal if at all possible. There has never been a question about the ability he possesses in his left boot, but his all round game has never been quite enough for Arsene Wenger, who sent him out on loan to Inter Milan for the second half of last season. It has been reported in recent weeks that the once-upon-a-time Bayern Munich man is on the verge of signing for the Turkish champions Galatasaray, and it still seems very likely to happen. Turkish publication Cumhuriyet are claiming Poldi has said: €œI have agreed with Galatasaray... I want to leave .€ Since that was published on their website however, there has been fresh developments and Podolski has apparently expressed his desires to come back and play his football in London once again. Reports coming from Arseblog via German website Bild suggest that Lukas has spoken out about his "mistake to go to Inter" and has also been quoted in saying: €œI€™ve always felt comfortable there ... With the fans, with the team and also with the manager . I€™m going back to play, I have to say my qualities suit Arsenal." Whether or not an Emirates return materialises remains to be seen. With just a year left on his contract, many believe that the World Cup winner won't be a Gunner next year. But as we all know, stranger things have happened in football.
