Jack Colback Signs For Newcastle - First Photo From St James' Park

Former Sunderland midfielder spotted at St James' Park. Confirmation imminent.

They're already renowned for their clandestine practices in the transfer market and Newcastle's methods show no signs of abating after new signing Jack Colback was secretly snapped at St James' Park. Speculation as ran rampant on Twitter this morning after @pbaird87 uploaded an image sent to him via a friend working at St James' with Toon fans convinced it was Colback pictured standing in front of the dugout facing the Milburn Stand. https://twitter.com/pbaird87/status/475921113986641920 It didn't take long for conclusive proof to filter through that it was the Geordie midfielder holding what we presume to be our new home kit (theres a discernible black stripe down the back) after a clearer photograph materialised out of nowhere courtesy of Instagram user kblack9:
That makes it two signings in the space of four days from new managing director Lee Charnley and an indication that the transfer gears are beginning to turn on Tyneside after the Club confirmed the arrival of Spanish striker Ayoze Perez from Tenerife on Friday. An official announcement is seemingly imminent now that the cat is out of the bag with reaction towards the 24-year-old being mixed with some supporters viewing him as a talented addition to a squad in need of fresh blood. Others, however, can't quite grasp that a former Sunderland player will be pulling on the black and white stripes next season, despite the history of players crossing the divide.
