John Carver's Newcastle "One Of The Worst Teams" Thierry Henry Has Ever Seen

The Arsenal legend is relieved to see Steve McClaren is changing the way NUFC play.

Thierry Henry has labelled John Carver's 2015 Newcastle United side "one of the worst teams" he's ever seen in the Barclays Premier League - and admits he is enthused by the changes Steve McClaren is implementing at the Magpies. Carver won just three games as Newcastle boss throughout the entirety of the second-half of the 2014-15 campaign, and the Magpies picked up three points only once on the road under his tutelage. Describing the Magpies' away performances as "shocking" in 2015, Henry insists that McClaren's Newcastle are far removed from the Carver edition - and that their performance in the 0-0 draw at Old Trafford against Manchester United on Saturday was "good".
While appearing on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football, Arsenal legend Henry said of Carver's Newcastle:
"Away from home last year's (Newcastle) side were shocking - they were one of the worst teams I've seen. "(But) I liked the way they played at Manchester United. They had a good shape, and a good idea of what they wanted to do, and got a good draw."
Interestingly, however, despite Henry's praise for McClaren, the Newcastle head coach is still yet to claim a victory as Magpies boss. He will hope to rectify that on Tuesday night when Newcastle host Northampton Town in the Capital One Cup Second Round at St James' Park (7.45pm kick-off) though.
