Ethics is a word that has gone missing from Newcastle United under the stewardship of Mike Ashley. Since taking control of the club in the summer of 2007, the morals and principles of a once great footballing institution have been discarded out of one of the many towering glass windows at St James' Park. The shoddy nature of the zero hour contracts and other dealings of that nature Mr Sports Direct uses for his business have wormed their way into the club. There's no room for play of such a foul nature at Newcastle United. From the discount dealings in the transfer market to the sponsorship of Wo*ga on the club's shirts, plenty of besmirching has befallen Newcastle United in recent times. All this should make recent returning hero Jonas Gutierrez's claims not the slightest bit surprising. Spiderman has revealed that former manager Alan Pardew told him to find a new club shortly after his second operation for testicular cancer. Speaking to Spanish newspaper Marca, the Argentine said: He told me to look for a team a moment after the second operation at the end of 2013. This hurt me a lot. You have to be more human and not look only at the football side and business. I only look to the future and each of us has to look at themselves and their conscience. Let's give credit where it's due. John Carver, in the only positive move he's overseen since taking charge at the start of the calendar year, has reinstalled Jonas to the first team squad. El Galgo didn't let him down when he came on against Manchester United last week which has made these revelations all the more damning on the character of the former boss. Pardew's comments also show that he and Mike were a match made in heaven in more ways than we thought. Pardew really was the epitome of Mike Ashley's Newcastle United. Alan was Mike's puppet. He was the perennial yes man in football. He was also getting paid what would be spare change compared to other Premier League managers which made him Mr Sports Direct's dream employee. Now it seems he shared the same ethical values of his master. From allegations of sleeping with his player's wives during his time at Southampton, to shoving linesman, head butting players and now this... The modern day Newcastle United really was a perfect fit for the silver fox. At least Pards is no longer employed by the club and the sooner Ashley leaves, the quicker Newcastle United can find its identity and return to being one of the great clubs of English football.
