Liverpool: 4 Things Brendan Rodgers Got Right In His First Season

At the end of the 2011/12 season Liverpool were at a low, even though they had managed to win their first piece of silverware since Rafa's FA Cup winners of 2006. Kenny Daglish was shown the door after a poor Premier League showing as they slipped behind Everton to finish in 8th place and winning the title was only a distant dream. They chose Brendan Rodgers as the man to lead the club through this testing time, a considerable challenge for a manager with only one season of Premier League experience in a job that had left managerial veterans Roy Hodgson and Kenny Daglish by the way side. He faced the challenge of addressing the clubs poor home form, managing a squad, with relatively few stars and regaining the bragging rights for the supporters. Rodgers navigated his first season, but failed to displace Everton as the top team on the Mersey and they home form still has a win percentage of less than 50%. However I don't think that his first season can be labelled as a complete failure and there was steady progress that I'm sure the Reds fans would appreciate and there must be better days awaiting them. Here is a list of 4 things that Brendan Rodgers got right in his first season.
