When it comes to their own team, football fans can be very fickle characters. Invariably their players are never in the wrong if something controversial occurs on or off the pitch- we as Reds fanatics would never have defended Luis Suarez were he a Manchester United player- and most are idolised by the adoring public. It often takes an awful lot for a fan to genuinely dislike one of their own stars. Now and then, however, a player comes along who you simply can't take a shine to, whether it be their appalling attitude, consistently woeful performances or something minor that only you seem to have a problem with. This writer cannot stand Lucas Leiva's irritating grin every time he concedes a foul, for example.
