Liverpool Set To Sign Nathaniel Clyne For £12.5m

The England right-back will sign a five-year contract this week...

Southampton's Nathaniel Clyne is set to sign for Liverpool this week for £12.5 million subject to a medical, The Mirror reports. The Saints have accepted an offer for their star full-back and he is expected to sign a five-year contract with the Reds after completing his medical later today. The 24-year-old who looks to be a replacement for Glen Johnson will become Liverpool's sixth signing of the summer following the recent purchases of James Milner, Adam Bogdan, Joe Gomez, Roberto Firmino and Danny Ings. Clyne made 35 appearances last season, scoring 2 goals and establishing himself as one of the best right-backs in the Premier League. The England international who only had one year left on his existing contract will be the forth player to make the move from St Mary's to Anfield after Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren and Rickie Lambert all made the move last summer.
