Liverpool Transfer News: Bayern Munich Want Luis Suarez?

Metro. The runaway Bundesliga leaders, who have already persuaded former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola to become their new manager in the summer, are now looking to add another feather to their caps by acquiring the services of Liverpool's leading goalscorer. It is understood they would have to pay upwards of £40 million to get their man however, but this season at least, the Uruguayan is worth every penny. He has plundered 20 goals in 30 games for Liverpool and is the chief reason for the club's ascent up the Premier League table in recent months after an indifferent start to their campaign. Liverpool are 7th at the moment, but captain Steven Gerrard spoke of his fears recently that Suarez could leave if the club missed out on Champions League football next season. And Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers echoed similar sentiments recently. Pep Guardiola will take over at Bayern Munich at the end of the season and has wasted no time in drawing up a shortlist of summer transfer targets, with Suarez' name said to be at the very top. Reports in Spain also suggest Guardiola is eyeing at least one of Radamel Falcao, Edinson Cavani and Edin Dzeko for a move to the Allianz Arena.
