Liverpool Transfer News: Real Madrid To Make £42 Million Luis Suarez Bid In January?

Mirror. Suarez remains high on the wishlist of Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti, who is in the market for a new forward after losing Gonzalo Higuain and Jose Callejon in the summer. Spanish sources are claiming Real are set to reinvest the £42 million they received from the sale of Mesut Ozil to Arsenal on transfer deadline day on the Uruguayan striker. They are also keeping an eye on Monaco's Radamel Falcao, who is also believed to be on their radar despite having just signed for the newly promoted French side. Suarez has spent much of the past three months being linked with a move away from Liverpool and was the subject of two bids from Arsenal, including one of £1 over £40 million. The former Ajax man was particularly outspoken about the potential transfer, and has made no secret in the past of his desire to play for a Champions League club. However, the Reds made it clear he would not be sold and the striker was forced into a U-Turn by insisting he was happy to stay at Anfield. Suarez is nearing the end of his 10-game ban for biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic and is set to return against Manchester United in the Capital One Cup later this month.
