Inconsistency has been the key to Liverpool’s rewardless season so far. Just as they seem to to get a good run of form going, they blow it, by throwing away points like they did last weekend against Southampton.
As the season has gone on though, these inconsistencies appear to be occuring less and less frequently as the players get more used to the style of play of new manager Brendan Rodgers. While any hope of finishing in the top 4 this season are effectively gone, the signs are there that Liverpool will be able to challenge the Champions League places next year.
Since the signings of Philippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge in January, Liverpool have significantly improved on the pitch. Rodgers will be hoping that with a few more signings his side will be able to challenge in Europe. The following is a list of 10 players (in no particular order) of plausible Summer deals for Brendan Rodgers.
10. Guillermo Ochoa
With rumours continuing to circulate that Pepe Reina will leave Liverpool in the Summer, it would be no surprise to see Rodgers sign a new goalkeeper. And they need look no further than Guillermo Ochoa.
The Mexican goalkeeper has had a very good season for an Ajaccio side struggling at the wrong end of the Ligue 1 table and has regularly been the difference between defeat and victory. He has had a number of exceptional performances recently, including a well deserved clean sheet against French giants PSG. He is somewhat of a national hero in his home country and has a reputation as being one of the best goalkeepers in Ligue at the moment.
Ochoa has previously hinted at a move to England and could be seen as a long-term replacement for Reina. Aged 27, he has plenty of potential amd fits into the age bracket of players favoured by the Liverpool owners.

Robert i want to commend for a job well done concerning the possible transfer targets for Liverpool FC. To me, i think all the shortlisted names are good and if Liverpool can pick 4 quality players out of this added to what we have on ground & bring in a real competition in the team, believe me sincerely we may end up winning the league & qualifying for champions league.
De Vrij looks very impressive. There’s some decent CBs in the Eredivise at the moment. Martins Indi has also been in good form.
Nice article with realistic transfer options most of which would be additions to the Liverpool squad. I do however have to strongly disagree with George, there is no way on earth even with four or five of the best players from this list could Liverpool win the title next season.
