Liverpool Transfers: 10 Signings To Ensure Premier League Glory

10 Players Liverpool should sign if they want to challenge for the League next season.

Last summer saw Brendan Rodgers spend over £100 million as he aimed to improve on the squad that challenged for the Premier League title last season. There was a huge squad overhaul with the likes of Daniel Agger, Iago Aspas, Luis Alberto, Luis Suarez, Martin Kelly and Pepe Reina all being shown the Anfield exit door, arguably some of them should still be at the club. With the money that Liverpool got from the sale of Suarez, they invested it on improving the depth of the squad so they could challenge for the title again. Some of the players Rodgers brought in failed to impress in the early stages of their Liverpool career, most notably Dejan Lovren and Mario Balotelli. The signings had all Liverpool fans excited for this season, and a recent turn in results suggests that the squad is now starting to gel. However, they are well off the pace in terms of challenging for the title this season. Players like Adam Lallana, Alberto Moreno, Emre Can and Lazar Markovic have stepped up as Liverpool look to push towards the top four. This also gives the red half of Merseyside every reason to be optimistic for next season. Keeping hold of some of the current squad like Raheem Sterling will be very important as the Reds look to build on what has been an excellent second half of the season so far. With Steven Gerrard leaving for America this summer and it looking more likely Glen Johnson will be moving on too, the Reds will free up a huge chunk of their wage budget to use on players this summer. Here is a list of 10 players who Brendan Rodgers and the Liverpool Transfer Committee should be looking to sign in the summer.
