Liverpool Transfers: 5 Players Brendan Rodgers Could Have Signed But Didn’t

5. Tom Ince

ince Tom Ince was linked with a return to Liverpool in the January window after starting his career with the Reds as an Anfield youth-team player. He was sold to Blackpool in 2011 after spending time out on-load at Notts County, but Brendan Rodgers wanted him back. Ince has scored 15 goals in 30 appearances for the Championship side and was also being monitored by Reading. Brian McDermott's side looked to be in pole position to land the winger as the transfer deadline drew to a close after Rodgers conceded defeat in landing the player. However, neither team ended up signing him and he is still at Blackpool. Rodgers however hinted at making a fresh move for the player in the summer, but there will be disappointment that he failed to land him this season. Source(s): Daily Mail
