Liverpool Transfers - 5 More Strikers Reds Must Consider

Liverpool have signed Loic Remy from QPR, but still haven't replaced Luis Suarez.

Though Liverpool last week agreed an £8.5 million deal with Queens Park Rangers for Loic Remy, manager Brendan Rodgers still has to sign at least one more striker if the Reds are to be competitive again next season. Remy is certainly a step in the right direction but an out-and-out replacement for Luis Suarez he is not. Suarez left Anfield to join Barcelona for £75 million this summer and leaves behind a gaping chasm that is still yet to be filled by Rodgers. Liverpool's need for another striker is all the more apparent when you also take into consideration the fact Fabio Borini is about to join Sunderland for £14 million following a successful loan spell with the Black Cats last season, and that Divock Origi - set to arrive on Meryseyside from Lille - will be loaned back to the French club until 2015. With £75 million burning a proverbial hole in Rodgers's pocket however following the mega-money sale of Suarez, fans should expect to see at least another striker join the Kop, with supporters crying out for a 'marquee name' to fill the shoes of the departed Uruguayan. Here, we take a look at 5 more strikers the Reds must consider signing this summer.
