Liverpool Transfers: Striker Opens Talks With Fiorentina

Fabio Borni is on the verge of returning to Italy.

Fabio Borini is set to make a return to Italy after Liverpool have opened talks with Fiorentina, according to Sky Sports. The striker is yet to be properly utilised at Anfield and despite turning down a move to Sunderland last summer the 24-year-old the club are now keen to offload him. The Merseyside club have brought in Christian Benteke, Roberto Firmino, Danny Ings and Divock Origi this summer, making it difficult to see when Borini would get his chance in the first team. According to reports, Fiorentina have shown interest in the Italian and officials from the Seria A side are set to hold discussions with Liverpool tonight.Borini has been exiled from the first team alongside teammates Mario Balotelli and Jose Enrique who are also expected to be sold.
