Man City 0-1 Chelsea - 5 Things We Learned

It was talked up as the 'game of the season' and though there was only one goal in it, Manchester City vs Chelsea largely lived up to its billing. Branislav Ivanovic scored the only goal in a tightly-contested affair at Etihad Stadium as City blew the opportunity to return to the top of the Premier League. The Citizen's 100% home record is also in tatters having put together 11 wins out of 11 in front of their own fans prior, and Chelsea have now done the double over their rivals this season. City had their chances to get back into this game - 25 shots at goal - though only three of them hit the target and Chelsea reaped the rewards from more accurate finishing. This win moves the Blues joint second in the table and despite Jose Mourinho's claims, are now well-placed to challenge for the league. They are joint-second with City with only goal difference separating the pair, each two points adrift of leaders Arsenal with the race for the title starting to get interesting. But what did we learn from Chelsea's important victory at the Etihad last night? Do City miss Sergio Aguero? And is the title really beyond Chelsea? Click "Next" to find out.
