Hart has talents outside the normal perspective of what a goalkeeper should be: he is a great distributor and mover of the ball, with the kicking abilities of a distributor in an outfield position. He is one of the goalkeepers around the worlds elite showing the epitome of the sweeper keeper and its attributes, or at least, is part of redefining what is considered the role of the goalkeeper within the team format. His style of play sees him pushing boundaries, becoming an extra forward rather than a mere extra defender; just watch the near goal from a header against Sporting CP for evidence. He has strong distribution, helping out at free kicks and restarting play, and it would be good to see him mirroring the free kick scoring Brazlian goalkeeper Rogerio Ceni. He is also very comfortable with the ball at his feet: unlike pure shot stoppers, he has additional elements to his game. For instance, he can take penalties and score, and his speed is nothing to be sniffed at. He is also incredibly quick at sprinting for distance for a goalkeeper, and he is easily in for a shout at fastest goalkeeper in the world.
