Man City Transfer News: Yaya Toure To Begin Talks With Other Clubs?

The Sun he could be on his way out the door. The British newspaper claim the Ivory Coast midfielder has demanded the Premier League champions offer Toure a new contract to stay at the club by Saturday - or he'll leave. Toure has been hoping to negotiate a contract for the past six months but talks have stalled and his agent Dimitri Seluk admitted last night that it could lead to his exit from the club;

€œIf he signs a contract in the next three or four days, OK. If not, we will not wait any longer and will start negotiations with different clubs.
This could spell trouble for City as Toure is one of the most influential players at the club. Toure reportedly feels he is not respected enough and this is simply highlighted by the fact the club have not tried harder to tie him down to a new deal. Due to FIFA rules if a new deal is not signed by the summer Toure can buy out the rest of his contract and there will be no shortage of suitors looking to sign him up. If City don€™t open negotiations quickly they could risk losing one of their star men to the likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea, PSG and even Manchester United. The main issue though could be what would happen to the relationship between City and the men at the top. Technical Director Txiki Begiristain let Toure go when he was at Barcelona. After a below par season for City last year this could be an horrific way to end it for Mancini and Begiristain. How important is Toure to City? Where would be a good move for him? Thoughts welcome below.
