Man City Transfers: 5 Blockbuster Signings That Would Attract Pep Guardiola

5. Isco

Isco Francisco Román Alarcón Suárez, or as he is mononymously known as "Isco" by his peers, has been linked with both Chelsea and Manchester City this month as the Premier League rivals seemingly scramble to land the exciting 20-year old creative midfielder. The Malaga playmaker is shortly out of contract with the La Liga outfit and his club are desperately trying to extend his contract to keep him from the clutches of their rivals. If they manage to tie the youngster down on a long-term deal, there are fears that will bump his release clause up to £30 million, which is why the likes of City and Chelsea are hoping to sign him this month. City's director of football, Txiki Begiristain, knows the player from his time in Spain back when he held the same position with Barcelona and has alerted Mancini to the youngster, who has helped Malaga up to fourth in La Liga and qualify for the Champions League Last-16 with six strikes from midfield. And he would fit in perfectly with fellow Spanish attacking player David Silva. Source(s): Daily Mail
