Man City vs Man United: Predicting Red Devils Starting Line Up

Here's how Sir. Alex Ferguson should line-up his side ahead of the biggest Manchester derby in decades.

With only a three point gap between Premier League leaders Manchester United and second place Manchester City, their mouth-watering derby/possible title deciding match on Monday night is indeed ''unmissable''. I have even changed my plans to ensure I will not be missing out what is easily the biggest Manchester derby in my lifetime.

As a lifelong fan on Man United, each game I always try to predict the starting like up and now since I'm a new contributor of WhatCulture.com, I will share with the world who I predict as the starting eleven.

GK: David De Gea Obvious pick. Has played out of his skin since December, hopefully he'll continue his class form this Monday. RB: Rafael Who else could you put there? I think he has been United's best right back all season. He does lack in certain areas but he normally does a steady job. He's fast and quick to tackle opposing attackers of United's challengers. His great connection with Antonio Valencia has been phenomenal, I don't expect that to change on Monday. CB: Rio Ferdinand Rio Ferdinand has been a vital asset to United's back-line this season. Thankfully he hasn't had many problems with his back this season. Don't let us down Rio, usually you don't! CB: Jonny Evans After being quoted by one of Football's most successful managers, Ales Ferguson, hailed Evans as:
"arguably the best defender in the country"
Jonny Evans has indeed being brilliant thus far this season. LB: Nani It was hard not including Ashley Young in this, but Nani has gotten his form back and he has a point to prove. If Fergie does start him, he'll play out of his skin. RM: Antonio Valencia Do I really need to explain why? CM: Paul Scholes One of United's most influential players of all time, Paul Scholes has been playing out of his skin this season. United can rely on Scholes to stick that midfield together and create countless great passing; as he always does. CM: Michael Carrick Often classified 'underrated' by Football fans, Carrick has played consistently all season. I can't remember him making many mistakes or causing costly points. Hopefully he will continue his consistent form Monday. SC: Danny Welbeck Sadly for Hernandez, Danny Welbeck is keeping him on the bench. Fergie seems to be more high on Welbeck than Hernandez. Welbeck has been providing goals last couple of months, a goal against City is what I predict. SC: Wayne Rooney He's Wayne Rooney. It's really tough to predict who will win, I'm going to go for a 2-1 United win though. Rooney and Welbeck to score. Sadly, I think Tevez will score for City but on the night it won't be enough!
