Man Utd: 5 Reasons Why They're Running Away With The Title

5. A Lack Of Competition

Chelsea Manchester United aren't just miles ahead of City in the Premier League, they're also 16 points ahead of European Champions Chelsea in third place and 17 ahead of fourth placed Tottenham. The standard of competition in the Premier League hasn't been great and everyone else have been left coughing and choking in the dust kicked up by United's blistering charge to the top. The Premier League this season is no dissimilar to, dare I say it, the Scottish Premier League of last season, back when Celtic, Rangers and nobody else competed for glory while all other competition were rendered also-rans. United have only lost once all season to a team currently in the top four of the table, and that came against Tottenham last year. Since then the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City have fallen under the bus that is Man United, which has just carried on moving forward, crushing anything in its wake. Chelsea, Arsenal and Man City still have to play United again this term, though Arsenal are the only side who will be at home for those encounters and you'd expect United to pick up a result against all three. Chelsea haven't been the same team of old while City are also off the boil. The less said of Arsenal the better.
