Man Utd New Manager - 5 Things Louis van Gaal Must Do To Be Considered A Success

Louis van Gaal has at last been confirmed as Manchester United's new manager. Following a month of speculation as to who would replace the sacked David Moyes, United have announced the appointment of the Dutchman on a three-year contract, with Ryan Giggs as his assistant. Van Gaal - who will be at this summer's World Cup as Netherlands coach - will set to work at Old Trafford as soon as Holland are knocked out of the tournament in Brazil. The Dutchman will be tasked with re-establishing United as a dominant force in England, following a disastrous season under Moyes that saw the club finish seventh and fail to qualify for Europe altogether. Van Gaal already has an illustrious track record for success, having won titles in three different countries with Ajax, Barcelona and Bayern Munich, and will need to bring with him all of the qualities that saw him achieve those successes if he is to succeed at Manchester United. But what else does he need to do in order to be considered a success by United fans? Here, we attempt to answer that question as van Gaal prepares to officially take the top job this July.
