Man Utd Set To Sign Midfielder For €36m

Turkish media have claimed that the Red Devils are close to signing Hakan Calhanoglu.

Manchester United could make a deadline day purchase of Bayer Leverkusen's Hakan Calhanoglu, according to Turkish media.

The reports state that a ‚36 million fee has already been agreed and that the deal is on the verge of being completed.

If a deal is going to happen then Man United will have to move swiftly as the English transfer window is set to shut in less than four hours.

The 21-year-old has been likened to Brazilian midfielder Juninho Pernambucano for his free kick taking ability, and the Leverkusen man has been touted as a future star.

The playmaker has reached double figures in terms of goals in his last three full seasons and could offer Louis van Gaal an excellent attacking option, playing as a number ten or a central midfielder.

A total of 13 goals last season showed there is plenty of potential for the youngster to blossom and two goals from four games this season hint at solid form.
